Brief: Man arrested for allegedly biting EMT at Market
A 58-year-old Moscow man was arrested Saturday afternoon after police said he bit an EMT and caused a disturbance at the Moscow Farmers Market.
Police responded around 11:30 a.m. to the 300 block of South Main Street for a report of an intoxicated man who had fallen and hurt his elbow and knee. Witnesses also said the man had an unleashed dog with him at the market.
Police said when they tried to offer the man a leash for the dog, he became irritated and pushed one of the officers. Police said the man bit a Moscow EMT who was attempting to treat the man's injured elbow and knees.
The man was then arrested for alleged battery on an officer, four counts of assault, dog at large and was trespassed from the Moscow Farmers Market before being transported to the Latah County jail.
