3 people shot in two locations in Moscow Saturday afternoon; suspect caught

Two shootings in Moscow shortly after 2:30 p.m. today left three people wounded, at least one gravely.

Two men were shot in the ground level rental office of an apartment building at 303 E. Third St. this afternoon. Police responded and the shooter fled.

He went to Arby's Restaurant on Pullman Road and asked for the manager, police said. When she appeared he shot her, police said.

He fled again and was apprehended just north of Colfax on state Highway 195 when his car crashed into a ditch. He was being pursued by Pullman Police, Whitman County Sheriff's Deputies, Colfax Police and the Washington State Patrol. He was taken into custody but being injured was first transported to Whitman Regional Hospital in Colfax.

His name and the names and conditions of the victims are still unknown. Relatives are being notified.

One victim was taken to Pullman Regional Hospital, two to Gritman Medical Center.

The Moscow Police Department and Pullman Mayor Glenn Johnson will be the only one releasing further information. No news conferences have been scheduled.
