[Vision2020] Question, V-Peeps . . .

Dear Visionaries,

They remain alive and well... but not flourishing.

The idea of a pedestrian/bike access is current and was discussed by various groups within the past year. The disadvantages and neighborhood/historic preservation degradation that an automobile access would bring to Third Street from Mountainview to Downtown, right through the heart of Moscow’s historic district and adjacent to pedestrian generators like schools, community center, East City Park and more simply do not justify the advantage of a the 60-90 second improvement in travel times from Mountainview to Third and Washington.

Many of us still harbor the hope that we will be able to make the pedestrian/bike crossing of the creek another small park-like rest area for children and others to enjoy as they walk or cycle through the neighborhoods of Moscow... without the challenge to their safety and the peace of the neighborhood of an arterial.

All the best and hopes for a Third Street pedestrian bridge!
