That's just it, Mr. Keim.  There is no evidence that ANY punishment was imposed.  Thus giving the UI student the sense . . . "Why should I pay for stuff at the bookstore any more?   I'll jus' grab a few totally cool Vandal jackets, grab my gun from the frat, and go have a few beers at the Perch."

Petrino could have simply said something like . . . "Those players who stole those items are suspended from playing for a month along with other punishment to be determined."

No names, no shame.
