Steph -
As much as I would love to participate in this competition, I'd be strugglin' a bit with a couple/few of the five requirements . . .
"1. Begin the 1st of November with a clean shaven face."
No problem here, although I really don't care to shave off my current "mustache".
"2. For the entire month, grow and groom a mustache."
See #1 above.
"3. No beards, no goatees, no fake mustaches."
No problem.
"4. Use the power of the mustache to create conversations about men's health."
Huh? How is this done?
"5. Conduct yourself like a gentleman (or lady)"
FOR A WHOLE MONTH ? ! ? ! I'd be disqualified during the first commercial break of next Sunday's Raiders/Seahawks football game.
Tellya what, though. I may not participate in the mustache competition, but that won't stop Moscow Cares from donating $300 locally to the cause (if you would be so kind as to provide me a local point of contact). I challenge everybody on this list to join me.
Sidebar: Is the city staff gonna have a tip jar downstairs at the info desk this holiday season?
Seeya 'round town, Moscow, because . . .
"Moscow Cares" (the most fun you can have with your pants on)

This year the City of Moscow employees are taking part in Movember and I would like to invite all of you to as well! The Movember Foundation puts on this event each year during the month of November in order to “change the face of men’s health.” The goal is to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues; especially prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health.

For those who can’t (ladies!) or who don’t want to grow a ‘stache but still do their part, you can collect and donate funds to the cause to support research on men’s health issues as well as encouraging the men in your life to talk about their health with each other and their doctors.

> Men engaging in risky activities that threaten their health
> Stigmas surrounding mental health
> Men are 24 percent less likely than women to have visited a doctor within the past year5
