When I was in the Army, stationed at the Presidio of San Francisco ('77-'79), SGT Tom Gilg (a long-time friend) and I used to play pranks at some of our favorite hangouts (mostly the Cliffhouse or the Moonshiner).
We would do things on a Friday/Saturday evening (when the place is almost always packed) like . . .
As we entered the tavern, jus' loud enough so that people close-by could hear . . .
Me: Mine's bigger than yours.
He: Nah! Mine is bigger than yours.
Me: OK, Tom. I'll bet you ten dollars that mine is at least an inch and a half longer than yours.
He: You're on!
(at this point we would slowly and deliberately remove and measure our . . . belts)
Me or He: See, I told you so.
And jus' what were you thinkin'?
Seeya 'round town, Moscow, because . . .
"Moscow Cares" (the most fun you can have with your pants on)
"There's room at the top they are telling you still.
But first you must learn how to smile as you kill,
If you want to be like the folks on the hill."
- John Lennon
