That doesn't qualify as good news to me, and the ban didn't qualify as bad news to me. As freedom issues go, they don't come more trivial than this one.

No, I don't think we need to question every donor. I think we should look more closely at those with economic interests. I'll never get anything like this:

And I'd have the same issues if donors to Democrats saw similar returns. Both parties are busy serving Wall Street, for instance.

Sunil,
I never suggested that it was a "smart" donation, just that it was. 
And taking the "politics" out of the issue, shouldn't  every campaign donation be questioned as to a "return" on that investment?
And the good news is that this over-reaching mayor's decision to ban large drinks in NYC was declared unconstitutional by the NY courts.
