Moscow Farmers Market – Activities for August 2nd

July 28, 2014 (Moscow, Idaho) – Join us Saturday, August 2nd for the Moscow Farmers Market on Main Street and in Friendship Square in Downtown Moscow! The Market runs from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. May through October and features live music, fresh local produce, delicious homemade baked goods, specialty food items, healthy nursery plants, beautiful flowers, and quality handmade crafts.

Music: Live music at Friendship Square will be provided by Auf Gehts German Band at 9:30 a.m. and Tom Peterson at 11:45 a.m.

Special Events: The Market will feature the Farmers Market Commission in the City Tent 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.; the Great Moscow Food Drive from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.; and a Discover You Can: Learn Make Share canning demo from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

The Great Moscow Food Drive benefits: The Moscow Food Bank and the Trinity Food Pantry. Donations of non-perishable food, cleaning and paper products, personal hygiene items, and money donations are gratefully accepted. The Drive will also have drop off locations at Rosauers and Safeway.

Vendor of the Week: Boothmans Home Bakery & Produce is located in Yakima, WA and Pullman, WA. Product highlights include:  apples, apricots, blueberries, pears, plums, home baked breads, sweet rolls, pastries, pies, and more. Boothmans Home Bakery & Produce has been a vendor in the Moscow Farmers Market for more than 17 years.

Shop the Market: Area families can use EBT or SNAP benefits. Visit the Shop the Market booth at the City Tent to receive “Market Money” which vendors will accept for approved purchases.


Please remember that no animals, except for ADA service dogs, are allowed at the Moscow Farmers Market.
