[Vision2020] Moscow's Admin Committee, Community Branding, and Renewing an Offer

Greetings Visionaires -

At the close of the February 24th Administrative Committee session, the topic of "Community Branding" was discussed with the intent of creating an image of the community of Moscow to attract people and businesses.

Along these lines, Moscow Cares would like to renew an offer made to the Moscow Arts Commission a while ago (a year or so ago).

Moscow Cares is interested in creating a city song competition that could be conducted during this season's Farmers Market.

The intent of this competition would be to identify a song to be presented before the Moscow Arts Commission and (ultimately) the Moscow City Council for adoption as the official city song.

Competitors would consist of local song-writers and musicians.  Awards would be as follows:

Third Place - $500

Second Place - $1,000

First Place - $2,000

All awards to be financed by Moscow Cares.

The winning song would become the property of the city of Moscow.

Judges of this competition would be designated by the staff liaison of the Moscow Arts Commission.

How about it?  Let's make this happen . . . finally!
