Moscow teen killed in crash near Tensed

A Moscow teenager died in a car accident on US Highway 95 near Tensed Saturday morning. Idaho State Police report the crash occurred around nine 15 when 51 year old Russell Qualls of Moscow lost control of a van on the ice. The vehicle hit an oncoming sedan on its passenger side. 13 year old Kalkidan Qualls was taken to Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene where he passed away. Russell Qualls and another passenger 50 year old Lisa Qualls also of Moscow were injured and taken to Kootenai. Russell was treated and released while Lisa is in serious condition. The two occupants in the sedan were not injured.
