[Vision2020] Tom, Gone?

I haven’t read all posts. If there was humor intended, I missed it.

In any event, there are some participants in these exchanges who cause me to think of behavior modification. Still, I wouldn’t presume to engage in it.

Tom has been diligent in keeping us informed. I Suspect he tends to be sensitive and hope he realizes he is appreciated.

I believe the original poll was a tongue-in-cheek attempt to get Tom to change his behavior with regards to the number of posts he makes in a day. I don't think it was actually an attempt to force a name change on anyone.

It would appear he succeeded in his attempt to change Tom's behavior, probably more than he ever intended.

"You don't know what you got til it's gone" No, I do not agree to change the name of this list! And I also find it incredibly rude to think that one can force something like that down this group's throat.

While I do not know Tom personally, I would be hard pressed to name another individual who works as hard as he has to keep our community informed regarding issues and events
It has been posted on here that people delete posts he makes. Is that so hard or time consuming for anyone? I too have deleted posts that I have not wanted to read, posts made by a variety of folk when I think the talk has devolved to "beating a dead horse".
I have never served in the military, but I ALWAYS read The Human Toll, and find it sad that anyone could not find the time for that.

So based on the subject heading of this post, is your vote 'Change name
of list serve'? Darrell has the official tally and if the voting hasn't
closed (and you didn't previously cast your vote offline to Darrell)
the race has tightened to:

Change the name: <4>
3 posts per day: 5
No to both: 2
No to rename: 1

FWIW
- I abstained, but I would prefer new thread postings be limited in
most cases to 3 per day per person (not per multiple email addresses of the same person). I'm not
aware of complaints regarding 'excessive replies' to ongoing thread
discussions.

This is all non-binding anyway since the viz is an
unmoderated list so anyone can post whatever they want, whenever they
want, regardless of whether or not their posts have anything whatsoever
to do with the mission statement of the vision2020 which is listed here:
http://vision2020.moscow.com/mission.asp

Considering
that Tom is unreasonable and thus by definition can't be reasoned with he's "apparently
took his toys and went home". BTW, I shamelessly stole that last quote
one of Saundra's posts from over a decade ago linked here:
