PRESS RELEASE
Public Voting Open for Lillian Woodworth Otness Park

September 18, 2013 (Moscow, Idaho) - The public is invited to help choose new playground equipment for Lillian Woodworth Otness Park, located between Lilly and Asbury Streets on the vacated portion of First Street. Four professional playground designs are currently on display at the Hamilton Indoor Recreation Center (next to the Hamilton Lowe Aquatics Center); City residents are encouraged to stop by and vote for their favorite design. The design that is selected by the public will then be submitted to the Park and Recreation Commission for their review and recommendation to the City Council. Voting is open now through noon on Thursday, September 26, 2013.

The City of Moscow will be installing the new playground later this year. The new play equipment is a component of the new park site, which is currently under development. Other features of Moscow's newest park will include the day-lighting and restoration of portions of Hogg Creek, a pedestrian/cyclist path section alongside the creek, landscaping including trees, shrubs, perennials, turf grass, a drinking fountain, bike racks, irrigation system, and identification sign.

The Hamilton Indoor Recreation Center is currently open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 1 - 5 p.m.
