Business Showcase Event Program

October 9, 2013 (Moscow, Idaho; Pullman, Washington) - Presenters have been selected for Palouse Knowledge Corridor's (PKC) upcoming Business Showcase event to promote economic development and growth on the Palouse.  This event is free and open to the public, October 17, 2013, from 2-5 p.m. at the BellTower Events Venue in Pullman, Washington.  With a social planned for 4:15 p.m.

The goal of the Business Showcase event is to connect people with good business ideas to those who might be able to help make those ideas happen.  Each presenter will showcase their business in 15 minute presentations, highlighting their business idea and relating management, product and/or service, technology, market, financial viability, potential return on investment, amount of investment required, exit strategy, and employee growth implications.  Time will also be allowed for question and answer with each presenter.

Those involved in business startups, entrepreneurs or investors, as well as interested community members are encouraged to attend.  Those who wish to attend this event may be private individuals or venture capitalists and there is no obligation to invest in any of the ideas presented.

The full program for the October 17 PKC Business Showcase event will include the following:

·        Black Bear Doggie Daycare - Cynthia & Joaquin Robert

o   Working to open a premier doggie daycare and pet boarding facility in the Pullman/Moscow area offering dog, cat, and other small animal boarding as well as a full "free-range" daycare for dogs.

·        Homeschool Institute of Science - Will Boyd

o   The Homeschool Institute of Science promotes a exploration of the natural world and the sciences.

·        Element Robot Inc - Chris Walker

o   Enables customers to build the future using 3D printing currently completing a new product that makes high-quality 3D printing accessible, affordable, and automatic.

·        Smile At Your Baby! - Shelley Calissendorff

o   Reaches out to teen, young, new and soon-to-be parents to educate them on what it means to bond with their baby, why it's important, and precisely how to do it.

·        TechCrowd Services, Inc - Joseph Taylor

o   A new type of information technology services company that leverages crowd sourcing techniques to provide IT services in a cost efficient manner that enables rapid delivery and high quality.

·        Dagwood Designs, Inc - Linda Daggett

o   Creating custom carrying cases, bags, pouches, leashes, straps, knife sheaths, and backpacks and outdoor gear that meet the special needs of clients.
