New Global Food Traceability Center to Unite Stakeholders
Aims to accelerate adoption and implementation of practical solutions across the global food system
 IFT officially launched its new Global Food Traceability Center with a press conference on September 11 that featured representatives from four of the main stakeholder groups that will be involved in the center: Government, industry, consumers, and the international sphere. “Our vision is to become the global resource and authoritative voice on food tracing,” says William Fisher, IFT vice president of science and policy initiatives.

Choline is a water-soluble micronutrient vital to cell membrane integrity, support of methyl group metabolism, and nervous system activity. It is a required additive in many infant formulas. AOAC Official Method 999.14 describes the determination of choline in infant formula and milk using an enzymatic colorimetric method. Thermo Scientific Application Note (AN) 124 and Application Update (AU) 189 demonstrate the determination of choline in infant formula and other foods by ion chromatography (IC).
