PRESS RELEASE
City of Moscow seeking proposals for name of new park

March 11, 2013 (Moscow, Idaho) - The Moscow Parks and Recreation Commission is tasked with naming all parks and presenting those names to City Council for approval.  The Commission decided at their February 28 meeting to survey the neighbors of the new park for a possible name.  All names submitted in this process will go to the Parks and Recreation Commission on March 28, 2013 for review.  When the Commission selects a name, a press release will go to the Moscow-Pullman Daily News, and a 60 day comment period will begin.  At the end of 60 days the Commission will review comments and make the final recommendation to City Council.

If members of the community at large are interested in submitting a name proposal for the park located immediately east of the alley that bisects the park between Asbury and Lilly Streets, south of A Street, they may do so at the Hamilton Indoor Recreation Center at 1716 East F Street.  Responses are due by March 26, 2013.
