Rally Planned to Protest Gun Violence



The Palouse Peace Coalition is sponsoring a rally, “Idaho Stands Up Against Gun Violence,” at 11am on Saturday, March 23rd, in Moscow’s Friendship Square.



The rally will support a ban on the sale of military-style assault rifles, a prohibition on the sale of ammunition magazines that hold more than ten rounds, a requirement of universal background checks for every gun purchase and closing gun show and other gun purchase loopholes.  A petition advocating responsible gun ownership will be available and there will be local musicians and speakers. We invite all concerned citizens to join us in supporting legislation to help stop gun violence.



The Palouse Peace Coalition is a Moscow-based community organization that was formed before the United States invasion of Afghanistan.  Since October 2001, the group has held a Peace Vigil every Friday, 5:30pm to 6:30pm in Friendship Square.
