Aside from the horrible, senseless, and avoidable tragedy, the officers
involved would not make good hunting companions.

Aren't you supposed to know what you are shooting at before you discharge
that lethal missile?  Aren't LE personnel especially trained about this
rule?

And LE officers wonder why there is less and less trust of them by the
public?
