[Vision2020] Race not a factor in Spokane beating

Hi Gary,

Ordinarily I am not especially interested in fighting over gun control. It
seems to me that those most eager to cite second amendment rights are short
on knowledge of Constitutional Law and long on easy peasy (dare I suggest
Militia-like) opinions. It kinda reminds me of someone who watches
hospital shows on television and then has the absolute gall to argue with
their cardiologist about appropriate treatment plans. Which is a splendid
segue into my thoughts on your claim that Chief Duke has idiot ideas about
gun control. Really, Gary???? Any one of us can dismiss his opinions if
we chose - but it is the case, on matters of gun control he really is the
one wearing a badge, he is the one who has spent decades in law enforcement,
invested several years in education and training, and he and his staff are
the ones putting themselves in harm's way when some jackass is on the
streets making trouble. He is a competent professional and frankly, is
considerably more knowledgeable than you or I on that topic. Could it be,
that he is not guided by convenient political rhetoric but rather by
experience and training? I think so. Although my interactions with him
have been limited I have every reason to hold him in high regard for his
leadership and commitment to our community. And, if I lived in Moscow, I
would make it a point to drop by and let him, his staff, and the officers
serving Moscow that I appreciate the work they do. Actually, come to think
of it, I've already done that and delivered a couple of plates of cookies as
well.

Since I can't vote in the city election I leave the outcome of the election
to thoughtful community members that recognize the problems associated with
allowing any of the aging, drooling, schemers of the rump (a gracious term
under the circumstances) faction of the tattered remnants of the Republican
party to hold city office. I do however, shake my head in wonderment that
somehow those very special fellows think they will out maneuver the Karmic
justice flowing like a torrent as a consequence of all their political
busybody coup shenanigans.

Rose

I sure hope you're referring to a different Gary. Respect is earned and all
sorts of people get things wrong. Chiefs of police are no exception. A
recent local example would be our own chief of police and his idiot ideas
with regard to gun control as detailed in a letter to Boise signed by our
soon to be ex mayor and conservative in name only city council.

So we should believe you? Because you have no bias or agenda?

This is crap. Same old story. I just wish some of you conservatives would
have the values you claim to have but really it is all about just pushing
some agenda of which I do not understand. If I were to bash a Chief of
Police, I'd be nailed to wall by Gary etc. for my disrespect. You on the
other hand get to say whatever you wish. I honestly don't get it.

Forget about the fact that in the Lane case one guy was white. Folks like
you will post "No he was mixed race." The FACT is one was black, one was
white, one was mixed. But don't let the facts get in the way, Wayne! Don't
let the testimony of folks investing the crimes get in the way. You're after
the truth! And the truth is whatever you want to believe, evidence be
damned.

Joe,

Did you seriously expect anything else from the chief? Did you think that
the President was going to say that, "Delbert Belton could have been my
grandfather" ?

Is there going to be as much FEDERAL money (or any) spent on this race
based crime as has been spent elsewhere? Where is the statement from Eric
holder? Don't hold your breath!

What about the Chris Lane case? Guess what the police will say about that
incident? You can bet that it will say: "Race was not an issue". It's the
politically correct thing to say, so job conscience government employees,
including chief's of police, will get in line with the politically correct
policy, or loose their jobs. Ask Bill Lee about that one.

But don't believe me; just listen to what the Spokane Police Chief says:
