Many of us (not I, though) applaud the U.S. Senate for voting down simple gun-control legislation today that would have required nothing more than a thorough background check of those who purchase guns at gun shows.  Yet, these same people feel that until the Boston Marathon bomber is caught we cannot feel safe.

Sad, isn't it?
