[Vision2020] Question, V-Peeps . . .

Ron Force posted that Brown has a Washington driver's license.

If that is true, then to obtain such a license, the applicant has to affirm
that they have established residency in Washington, and they must surrender
any license from another state.

http://apps.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=46.20.021

If Brown has in fact obtained a Washington driver's license, then he has
affirmed under oath and penalty of perjury that he is a Washington
resident, therefore not a Moscow, Idaho resident, and therefore not legally
qualified to continue serving on the Moscow city council.

If the above is the case, then it is up to the City of Moscow to initiate
proceedings to remove him.

Given the known predilections of at least two council members for
dishonesty and disobeying inconvenient laws, probably nothing will happen
until some Moscow resident decides to force the issue through some legal
process starting with a letter of demand to the mayor and city council.

If Brown has in fact obtained a Washington driver's license, but continues
to serve on the Moscow City Council, then his character and integrity are
certainly not honorable. It should come as no surprise then that I
disagree with Gary Crabtree that Brown is a worthy role model. In fact, if
the allegations about his residency are true, then his whole range of past
business and personal dealings in Moscow are open to question.
