City Encourages Residents to Vote on Park Design

March 28, 2012 (Moscow, Idaho) - The public is invited to help choose new playground equipment for Mountain View Park, located in the northeastern corner of the city on Mountain View Road. City residents are encouraged to review the three professional playground designs currently on display at the Hamilton Indoor Recreation Center (HIRC) located at 1724 East F. Street located next door to the Hamilton-Lowe Aquatics Center and vote for their favorite design.  The HIRC is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.  Voting is open now through Friday, April 20.

The City Parks and Recreation Department will be installing the new playground this coming summer, with work scheduled to be completed in July. The existing play apparatus is being replaced as a component of the City's Playground Replacement Program, and will be removed in late May in preparation for the construction work. The Park & Recreation Commission selected the three finalists after reviewing a variety of design submittals.
