I liked the way Sachs parried Soros on holding those responsible for
the global economic crisis from 2008, individually accountable for
their corruption, even when Soros argued that it's better to emphasize
the systemic problems in the global economic system, rather than point
blame at individual players:

Robert Silvers, editor of the New York Review of Books, moderates a
panel discussion on the current global economic crisis.  Participating
in the discussion are: George Soros, author of "Financial Turmoil in

Jeffrey Sachs is a professor and director of the Earth Institute at
Columbia University.  He also serves as special adviser to U.N.

End of Poverty," and other books.

Edmund Phelps is a professor of political economy and director of the
