City of Moscow Recognized with Achievement Awards

BOISE - The Association of Idaho Cities (AIC) recognized the City of Moscow with five Achievement Awards on June 20 during the 65th AIC Annual Conference in Boise June 20-22, 2012.

All across Idaho, city leaders have dealt with economic, social and environmental challenges in creative ways. City officials can learn from each others' experiences and improve outcomes through that awareness and enhanced potential for cooperation.  This year's AIC Annual Conference featured interactive workshops and sessions to showcase community successes.

The following projects were recognized for their contribution to economic growth and development and quality of life in the City of Moscow:


*         EcoDriver Program

*         Active Living Task Force

*         Pavement Milling Reuse

*         Hamilton Community Garden

*         Poverty on the Palouse Forum

The Association of Idaho Cities was formed in 1947 and is a nonpartisan, nonprofit corporation organized to serve Idaho's 200 incorporated cities. AIC influences policies and provides education, training and technical assistance to strengthen the ability of city elected officials and staff to serve their communities.
