Main Street Farmers Market Parking Options and Traffic Revision

March 29, 2011 (Moscow, Idaho) - During the construction of the South Jackson Street Parking Lot lighting improvements the Moscow Farmers Market is temporarily moving to Main Street.  The relocation will occur starting June 16th and continue for three successive Saturdays including June 23rd and June 30th.  The location of the Market will be between Third and Fifth Streets and within Friendship Square as shown on the attached map.

During the Market, parking will not be available on Main and Fourth Streets in the Market area and only limited parking will be available in the South Jackson Street lot.  To offset these parking reductions, the City of Moscow has secured temporary use of two existing gravel parking lots located on the west side of Jackson Street opposite the South Jackson Street lot.  These lots are available daily until July 6th.  In addition, the City has obtained permission for the public to use the Federal Building South lot on Market days.  Parking is also available on the streets and in the City owned public parking lots throughout the Central Business District.  For those with State approved ADA Parking permits, designated Market day parking will be provided in the US Bank lot on Third Street which is accessible via the alley between Main and Jackson Streets.  Signs will be posted to direct drivers to the public and Market day parking lots shown on the attached map.

The Saturday street closures associated with the Market relocation include parking restrictions on Main Street between Third and Fifth Streets and on Fourth Street between Main and Washington Streets.  These temporary No Parking areas will be posted by the Thursday prior to each Market affected.  All other posted parking restrictions will remain in effect during this period.
