Some people have a price tag on their community service, Bill. I don't.

I am considering applying for this position and donating the $100/month pay to the 1912 Center.

However, my resume' "expired" back in August '08 when I was laid off from UI Facilities.

But then, maybe . . .

Whatcha think, Bill?

Seeya round town, Moscow.

Though I did serve as the Buy Local Moscow coordinator for 2 years (ending in Jan 2011), I am not on the steering committee now and can not really speak for the group. However, I do know that when I was coordinator, I thought the money was secondary to the importance of the group’s growth and impact. It was a great job and very rewarding in many ways.

  Bill,
Are you sure that you have the pay correctly? I'm not that good in math, but at 15 hours a month, the job pays $6.67 and hour, and for a 20 hour month it pays $5.00 an hour.
Since the state minimum wage is $7.25 an hour, is this even a serious offer?
And if it is, what kind of Coordinator for Buy Local Moscow are we going to get for under minimum wage? What kind of signal does this offer even send to the community?

  Wayne
