Stephanie,

Thanks again for the information. You are certainly among the most helpful and resourceful members of the city staff. People do appreciate it.

Subject: [Vision2020] PR - Council Committee to Discuss Overnight Parking in Downtown

The preferred options are for late night customers who may have alcoholic beverages as part of their evening to park their vehicles on First, Second, Fourth, or Fifth Streets where overnight parking is allowed.  In addition, both of the Jackson Street Parking lots can be used for overnight parking.  If a vehicle is left on one of the streets noted above it will need to be moved by 11:00 a.m. the following day to avoid exceeding the three hour limit which starts at 8:00 a.m.  The same is true for the Jackson Street lots unless the vehicle has a green parking permit displayed.  One caveat is that the northern portion of the South Jackson Street lot (by Friendship Square) is not available for parking on Friday nights and Saturday mornings from May through October due to the Farmer’s Market.  All of these parking regulations are posted on the signs in each of the areas discussed.
