Applying that logic . . .

Private citizens should be permitted to purchase an M1 Abrams tank (complete with basic load) or an M3 Bradley Fighting Vehicle (complete with basic load) so that they can defend themselves against a possible extra-terrestrial invasion of Moscow.

Paranoia is NOT an answer to problems, Area Man.  Paranoia is a cause of problems!
