Ever since I took up residence here in Moscow, back in August '92, I have seen only one person openly carrying a handgun in town.  It was a weekday afternoon.  My only thoughts were, "Jeesh! Is that guy paranoid or what!"

The last time I carried a handgun was back in June '87 as an infantry platoon sergeant in Germany during a division exercise.  Don't believe in them.  Never will.
