Doug is still fighting a losing battle using his same losing argument 'Is it immoral to do such a thing? If so, by what standard?'   Answer: Yes - it is immoral to deny same gender couples equal rights, benefits, and protections that are already granted to opposite gender couples because it is government sanctioned gender discrimination.  Standard: United States Constitution - specifically the Equal Protection Clause.

I'm sure that this logic would fall on deaf ears and blind eyes to Doug because in his own twisted mind (aka the gold 'standard') he thinks it's his way or the highway to hell.
