Paul, can you please tell me the conversion ratio of "one whit" to "a damn"? I heard that three whits equal one damn. However, I have also heard that one whit = 2.4872 damns. I am also curious as to how many whits or damns are contained in the average adult male. How many whits can one give before they are completely witless or unable to give a damn?

My pardon for not responding on this topic. No, it wouldn't matter to me if it were a celebratory block party sponsored by a Muslim mosque. Assuming they are celebrating the return of UI and WSU students to campus.
If they were reveling in the work of the terrorists, then I would think they are absolutely bat-shit insane for having their block party and I would think it in horrible taste and would not agree with them one whit, and I would be encouraging people not to fly off the handle and do something stupid. I would also be more-than-likely arguing against shutting them down, unless their safety could not be guaranteed. Freedom of expression and all that.

>>Is it just me, or has this 9/11 remembrance day officially jumped the shark? I'm not talking private individuals or local groups meeting in remembrance or to discuss related topics. I'm all for that, and my heart goes out to anyone who lost somebody during the attacks. I'm talking about the people making who knows how much money off of this tragedy. I thank the gods I don't have TV right now, I'm sure it's over the top and has been for a week or more.
