[Vision2020] Moscow Looks So Much Nicer . . .

M. Belle Sweet, the first UI Librarian, reminisced that during her first winter here (1905), the mud on Main Street was so deep that planks were laid down so people could cross from one side to the other. A carriage got stuck in the mud on fraternity row, and remained there until spring.
