Police: Naked man got tangled in barbed wire fence

BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Police say a man caught running naked through a Boise park became entangled in a barbed wire fence while trying to flee officers.
The Boise Police Department says 23-year-old Grant Gardner was arrested early Saturday. He remained jailed early Monday on a felony charge of battery on an officer, along with misdemeanor counts of public nudity, public intoxication and resisting and obstructing.

Police say officers first spotted Gardner at about 5 a.m. when he streaked past a squad car. Gardner initially obeyed commands to stop and sit down, authorities said, but then he fled and tried to climb a fence topped with barbed wire.

Police assisted Gardner down from the fence, where he had become entangled, and say he then punched an officer in the face.
