The prison is being punished, and in an inappropriate manner, before a trial and its outcome.  Obama in this case is starting to look like the former administration -- no public dissent allowed.

It is hard enough for citizens to be aware of all the problems facing them and their government today without having opinion, and especially opinion based on facts, surprised.

  Since I've ripped the Daily News for its editorials, I'll commend them for today's editorial on the treatment of Pvt. Manning, and the forced resignation of P.J. Crowley. 

  The Obama administration does not have a problem with the mistreatment of a prisoner. Its problem is with a member of the administration speaking the truth, and that is shameful.
