This doesn't surprise me at all, Joe.

When it comes to Idaho prisons think CCA, as in "Corrections Corporation
of America".

"Four years ago, Otter asked lawmakers to begin working on legislation
that would have allowed private companies to build and manage prisons from
the ground up. So far, lawmakers have shot it down.

But given C.C.A.’s financial backing of Otter, and the governor’s
preference toward private prisons, should we assume Idaho will have more
privately run facilities in the future? KBOI 2News wanted to ask Governor
Otter that question. But for the past two weeks his office has told us
that his schedule is too busy to schedule a 15 minute interview."

In the interim, Idaho legislators fight to shut down teacher unions, fire
700+ teachers, and reduce the education budget.

Money for the new CCA-run Idaho prison has got to come from somewhere, right?

Esto perpetua,
