[Vision2020] Warning-Vandal sports post

There are reports that the Mountain West Conference, which has already raided the Western Athletic Conference with the departures of Boise State, Fresno State, Nevada and Hawaii, is on the verge of taking Utah State and San Jose State from the WAC, leaving Idaho, New Mexico State and Louisiana Tech as the sole remaining WAC teams, and the conference folds.  Obviously on Vandal Venue, which is comprised of hard core Idaho fans, this is pretty harsh news, given that this could well leave the U of I athletic program up the proverbial creek.  Big time.  Small market, non-existent TV market, small crowds, PAC-10 team seven miles away.  It's not impossible that it could come down to the Vandals trying to go the independent route with no conference affiliation, sucking it up and going back to the Big Sky, assuming they would take Idaho back after the Vandals walked away, or.......(here goes).......drop football?
