[Vision2020] A Resolution for the 112th Congress (after the Tucson Tragedy)

Gary? I agree with you that the rhetoric of the Right wasn't
responsible for this incident. But Sarah Palin's ex post facto
announcement that the symbols on the map were "surveyors symbols" is
so asinine that it defies description. Maps with targets on them --
bullseyes, crosshairs, et al. -- are both common and unremarkable.
There is, however, not a single Google result for a political map
involving surveyors symbols (and I've tried this in several
combinations) which doesn't reference Palin.

This is not to say that one does not exist.  But the symbols are
identifiable to anyone with a working occipital lobe as crosshairs.
