Not to mention that this is just an old Republican trick, used by
Reagan and then again by Bush: raise the deficit so that government
programs can be cut. It is a way of enacting Republican policy without
doing it in a more straighforward way.

Just because Republicans are dishonest about admitting this does it
follow that we have to pretend that this isn't what is really going
on? Sorry but I have a problem about seeming to be that stupid, at
least in public.

And this is the real reason why I'm disgusted by folks like Jeff, who
put up posts about values like "honesty" while promoting this very
same sort of crap.
