Remember Secretary of State Colin Powell arguing before the UN General
Council that Hussein possessed weapons of mass destruction?

Remember when UN inspectors conducted searches (virtually
building-by-building, day after day after day after . . . ) to absolutely
no avail? Remember Bush arguing that Hussein obviously had WMD well
hidden, since the inspectors couldn't find any?

Remember when Bush accused Hussein of not cooperating with the UN
inpectors and threatened to take military action?

And remember how Bush made a joke about the absence of WMD?

A joke to him . . . a horrible reminder to over 4,000 families.

And as far as dollar-cost of the war in Iraq is concerned: From its
inception in 2003 to February 2008, the dollar-cost of the war in Iraq
exceeded $3 trillion.
