When: Friday, October 1, 2010, 7 to 10 pm

The Palouse Prairie Foundation and the Palouse Group of the Sierra Club invite you to a fun-filled evening of music, desserts and drinks at the 1912 Center on October 1, 7 to 10 pm. This event is a fund raiser to help support the important work of these two locally-based environmental groups. A no-host wine and beer bar, soft drinks and water will be available.

Listen and dance to the music of The Grateful Live and Bart Budwig.

The Grateful Live features Garrett Clevenger on guitar, Sam Lyman on mandolin and Arlene Falcon on djembe. They play a mix of Grateful Dead songs and original tunes.

Bart is a singer-songwriter who plays earthy, folksy and often times bluesy tunes. He now has a new album out, Don't Be A Dictator.

The Palouse Prairie Foundation promotes preservation and restoration of native Palouse prairie ecosystems in Latah and Whitman Counties. The Foundation promotes public awareness of the prairie, serves as a literature resource, encourages responsible local seed production, acts as a consultant in Palouse prairie restoration efforts, and provides local mini-grants. This year the Palouse Prairie Foundation granted funds for three private restorations, and two projects from the Moscow High School Environmental Club (an informational kiosk and a native plant walk, both at the Virgil Phillips Farm County Park).

The Palouse Group of the Sierra Club has worked to protect roadless lands in the Clearwater National Forest, Paradise Ridge from Highway 95 re-routing, and your source of drinking water, the Palouse aquifers.

A $5 entry donation is suggested.
