[Vision2020] Republican says don't vote for Republicans

Curiousity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back. So, I'm curious. Does Ike Young descend from Brigham Young? He certainly cultivates a resemblance to portraits of Old Brig. However, and even though I'm no longer LDS (left the Church at 14 or so), I think Brigham was a bit of a visionary, and I think "Ike" couldn't see his way out of a rice paper bag, let alone work towards a future plan for Latah County and/or the state of Idaho.

I have heard from some LDS folks in Latah County who wouldn't vote for Ike on a bet, but that, of course, is hearsay and doesn't count. Tee(party)Hee.......

This is the first of about a billion reasons why losing Gary Schroeder signaled the death knell of common sense in Latah County, and I thank him for his honesty, here and throughout his service.

Which, I hope, might resume in two years after we all pick our way through the anti-intellectual, anti-public schools, anti-government tornado that is Gresham Bouma (as well as the pesky, vapid dust devil that is Ike Young) . . .

I was able (by asking) to get this letter put up onto Huckleberries Online, which is one of Idaho's most prominent political blogs. Go and leave a comment, thereby showing that there is interest for major blogs and news outlets to highlight Latah County Politics. This will help expose Bouma's extremism to many Latah County voters. http://www.spokesman.com/blogs/hbo/2010/oct/12/schroeder-blasts-tea-party-candidates/?c=204054&comments=1#c204054

In a letter printed today (Oct 12) in the Tribune, Gary Schroeder (the recently de-throned Republican state senator) urges us to NOT vote for 2 Republican candidates !!!!!!!!!!!!
I thank Schroeder to speaking the truth, and for supporting Dan Schmidt (Boama's opponent) and Shirley Ringo (Young's opponent)
    The letter is reprinted below....BL

    Reject Young and Bouma
Do Latah County citizens really want two anti-public education Tea Party members to represent them in the Idaho Legislature? This year, high school dropout Isaac Young and disgruntled former teacher Gresham Bouma have taken advantage of the Tea Party movement to fuel their personal grudges against our public schools. If they are elected, your kids will pay the price.
Tea Party enthusiast Young says he left Moscow High School because he was being "brainwashed." He promises to eliminate all property and income taxes, but has little understanding of the consequences of his proposal.
His Tea Party running mate and friend, Bouma, is a government-hating, theocracy-leaning activist who proudly joined a speaking tour and website with Rep. Phil Hart of Hayden Lake, who currently owes around $1 million in tax debts and even kept taxes collected from his employees.
Bouma vigorously applauds any mention of repealing the income and property taxes. He states that cutting education funding is his primary issue (Idaho Statesman, May 27). He refers to University of Idaho personnel as "intellectual elitists" and promises "more budget cuts" and to turn away all federal funding for the university and public schools (Lewiston Tribune, May 17).
However, while blasting government spending, hypocrite Bouma doesn't complain about his federal farm subsidy checks (Environmental Working Group).
These people were nominated by less than 10 percent of the registered voters because the vast majority of Latah County stayed home during the primary. They're counting on voter apathy again. Let's prove them wrong!
