[Vision2020] rosy future for rabid liberal at loose ends?

Gary may not remember, but he talked trash about KRFP before the station went on the air to people I knew who went in to get keys made by him. I don't know the specifics about what was said, but they left feeling you did not approve of the station. I can only assume they weren't the only people you told this to.

I was a founding member of KRFP and was in charge of making keys, which is how this came up because I said I'd go to the Lock Shop to get keys made. It was a controversial decision because we knew Gary's position about the station.

But I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I was willing to still give him business. I wasn't going to prejudge who this mysterious Gary Crabtree was even it was believed Gary was prejudging the station and probably talking bad about it.

Perhaps contempt isn't the right word, but the point is, Gary, you accuse liberals of doing the same thing you are doing, which is hypocritical.

To quote you, "I firmly believe that stating facts in a discussion is a more productive thing than using the "you're too stupid to understand" gambit. You're welcome to stick with what ever works for you."

I don't recall ever mentioning KRFP before the last week of last month. I suppose it's possible but fairly unlikely. Either way, contempt was not what I expressed. What I said was that they had a bias and were purveyors of progressive propaganda. When the stations mission statement plainly states that it's dedicated to "progressive values" and "social change" it's not an expression of contempt it's a statement of fact. I firmly believe that stating facts in a discussion is a more productive thing than using the "you're too stupid to understand" gambit. You're welcome to stick with what ever works for you.

Is it any wonder that common ground is so difficult to reach when the opening salvo from the left is so utterly dismissive and contemptuous?"
