Release* *Prescription drug turn-in program set for June 1*

Anyone who has prescription drugs that are unwanted or expired may dispose
of them at the Palouse Mall on Tuesday, June 1 at an event being
co-sponsored by the Region 2 Advisory Committee on Substance Use Disorders,
Moscow Police Department, City of Moscow Sustainable Environment Commission
and Gritman Adult Day Health.

The prescription turn-in will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Palouse Mall.


“The committee is sponsoring this event because illegal re-use of
prescription drugs is a growing problem, and improper disposal of these
drugs in our water supply can potentially cause contamination,” said Scott
Douglass, Region 2 Advisory Committee chairman.
