Tom,

I don't buy into a great conspiracy that the US government  was  
INVOLVED as an inside job of the Bush administration.
But, somebody WAS asleep at the switch!

Name one US Defense or law enforcement  official that was removed over  
9/11?

Surely, the Secretary of DEFENSE is/was responsible for the defense of  
the nation, what about the Joint Chiefs?  We were attacked, WHO stood  
up and said, it was on my watch, I'm responsible?
If the Department of Defense isn't responsible for the defense of the  
country, who is, and why then do we even have a department of defense?

IF everyone was doing their job properly, it logically follows that no  
one was responsible for the defense of the nation.
