PRESS RELEASE

June 4, 2010

Re: Fraudulent Text Messages

Contact Person: Lt. Paul Kwiatkowski, 883-7067

On the evening of 06-03-10 people owning cell phones with AT&T service
may have received a text message stating "Latah F C U Security Notice.
For More Details, Please Contact our secure phone line at 866-368-0542.
Thank you." The Moscow Police Department and the Latah Federal Credit
Union asks that people not to respond to this message. This is an on
going scam.

As of 06-04-10 the phone number listed above is currently inoperable. If
you received a text it was probably done so with an automated dialing
system, much like telemarketers use. To date, most of these messages
have been sent on phones with either AT&T or Sprint service. Again, we
want to ask everyone not to respond to these messages and not provide
any banking information of any kind that comes to you via text or e-mail
messages.

     Chief of Police
