University of Idaho Statement on CAMBR
"For a pre-election article published on May 23, 2010, the Lewiston Tribune reviewed 2007
documentation from the Attorney General’s Office that looked at issues arising from the
university’s 2005 audit of its Center for Advanced Microelectronics and Biomolecular Research
(CAMBR) program. To the best of the University’s understanding, no action arose from the
issues cited in the memo and the Tribune’s own article stated as much. The University itself took
the findings of the original CAMBR audit seriously and took actions in response to the findings,
which were not mentioned in the Tribune article. A communication about the audit and progress
taken was shared publicly in late 2006. CAMBR today is not the entity of past years; the
infrastructure, accountability and integrity, policies and procedures are more robust and continue
to be refined."
