PRESS RELEASE



 

July 13, 2010

 

On Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 02:42 hours officers responded to the Sigma
Nu Fraternity located in the 700 block of Elm Street in reference to a
male who was unconscious.  Upon arrival, officers located the male on
the third floor and immediately began CPR.  Moscow Voluntary Ambulance
Service transported the male to Gritman Medical Center where he was
pronounced dead upon arrival.  The male was identified as Benjamin M.
Harris, a white male who is 21 years of age.  Harris's hometown is
Burley, Idaho.  He is listed in the University of Idaho campus directory
as a senior pursuing a major in Architecture and Interior Design. 

 

Preliminary investigation indicates the death was the result of a
respiratory arrest caused by alcohol poisoning.  No foul play is
suspected at this time.  Exact cause of death will be determined by the
medical examiner after reviewing the results of toxicology reports.
