Visionaries-Looks like Sojourners’ Alliance, our areas only homeless shelter
and foodbank, needs our help. They sent out the following letter last week.
I've sent my check. I hope you will, too. In addition to mailing them
your support, you can also give via their website:

Sojourners’ Alliance Supporter,

We appreciate your past support. It has enabled us to provide much needed
services aiding and preventing homelessness and hunger in our area. These
services are being called on in record numbers. One hundred households
consisting of 249 people have received rental assistance during the past
nine months who otherwise would have become homeless. We have been at full
capacity for our shelter 19 out of the last 21 months. Sojourners’ Alliance
needs your help to continue serving our mutual friends and neighbors.

We strive to maintain financial stability despite the economic changes we
all face, yet we find ourselves making up for reductions in federal and
state support. It is up to local donors like you to help cover the
difference. For Sojourners’ Alliance to continue providing daily shelter
for our 23 resident capacity, rental assistance, food bank, and Thrift Store
for area residents we need to raise approximately $15,000.

We pay $191 to host a resident in our shelter for a week. Can you help by
sponsoring the cost of a resident? Any help is appreciated.

The purpose of this letter is to let you know our Board of Directors will be
conducting phone solicitation for financial support on Thursday, August 5th,
between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. We hope to be in contact with you, and answer
any questions you may have about the vital services we provide. If you are
unavailable or wish to contribute immediately, please send a check or pledge
to Sojourners’ Alliance, 627 N. Van Buren, Moscow, Idaho 83843. Thank you
for helping us to continue providing our vital services to the Palouse.

Yours in Service,

Kim Carlson

President, Board of Directors
