No, Roger, I think that people who finagle and connive to line their pockets by denying care to other people -- any other people, but particularly those who have paid their premiums -- are heartless bastards. That's "my view." And I promise you that if the situation continues and real people suffer and die while insurers narrow and cut and redefine what they will cover and what they won't, solely on the basis of shareholder return, I'll hold to it.
On the other hand, Obama doesn't share my views on this. I don't call him or anyone else who doesn't advocate for a single-payer system a "heartless bastard." I just call them, perhaps, overly cautious, perhaps even realistic. But I believe the only just and fair way to provide care and control costs is by going the route that every other industrialized nation on earth has -- a single-payer system not dictated by corporate profits.

Why is it that those of you on the left must impinge peoples motives. You seem to think that if people do not hold your view that they are heartless bastards. People of good will have different views. There are plenty of thing wrong with the present system. It is arguable that the current bills will solve the problems. In my view some of things that need to be done are tort reform, make insurance portable, and let people buy insurance where ever they want. These are just a few.
