[Vision2020] PR - International Walk To School Day

Wayne,

Based on recent personal observations, I don't think that the  
authorities care!

Yesterday, at about  5:45, my wife, son and I were crossing west on  
Washington Street at the intersection of 5th and Washington, by the  
NSA admin building. We were in the middle of the cross walk and there  
was a Moscow city Police car  stopped, and facing east on 5th. A car  
came through the cross walk while we were in it.  Yes, the Moscow  
police car did turn onto Washington, but NOT to pull over the driver  
that went through the occupied intersection, but just to be able to  
make the turn while most of the traffic was stopped. She then turned  
into 4th street, presumably to go to the police station.  I guess she  
was on a much more important  task than pulling over motorists that  
run through occupied pedestrian crossings. I hope the donuts  were  
fresh!
