City looks to name future park

The City of Moscow Parks and Recreation Commission are requesting public
comment regarding a proposed naming of 3.0 acres of City property to be
developed into a neighborhood park. The proposed park name is "Milton
Arthur Park," after Milton Arthur Salisbury, who owned and farmed the
land since 1951. The property is located east of Mountain View Road and
south of Robinson Park Road.

The justification for the proposed park name can be viewed in the parks
and recreation section of the City Web site: www.ci.moscow.id.us
<http://www.ci.moscow.id.us/>

The purpose of this 60-day public comment period is to give citizens an
opportunity to voice support or opposition to the proposed name, which
will be provided to the City Council prior to approval action. The
public comment period is open through July 30th.

Comments can be delivered to the Moscow Parks and Recreation Department
office at the Eggan Youth Center, 1515 East D Street or sent my email
to: dcurtis at ci.moscow.id.us <mailto:dcurtis at ci.moscow.id.us> (please
type in "Park Comments" in the subject line.
